Northern Kentucky is also rich in authentic tastes. Some draw on our region’s German American heritage, like Hofbräuhaus in Newport, the first Hofbräuhaus in the U.S. which adheres closely to the standards set by the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany. And Tuba Baking in Dayton, Ky. where you’ll find Swabian-style pretzels that you can enjoy with other German food in their biergarten. Or stop in at Wunderbar, a local favorite bar and cafe serving a variety of wursts, brats, and other German dishes.

Other Northern Kentucky restaurants offer authentic flavors from China, Japan, India, Mexico, Italy, Cambodia, New Orleans, the Mediterranean, and the Netherlands. In just six blocks of Mainstrasse Village, located in Covington, Ky. you’ll find food from almost all of those.

Around every corner in NKY you can find a delicious place to eat!

If you’re looking for food unique to our region make sure to try Cincy-style chili and goetta while you’re here. They are both found almost exclusively in the Cincy/NKY area.

And with 12 of the Best Bourbon Bars in America, according to The Bourbon Review, more than 50 craft breweries, and a Back Roads Wine Trail, there are plenty of tasty drink options too.
